The Art of Dressingthe Groom
Since 2013, one shop in Bairagarh has cut sherwanis for one man, one date, one entrance — measured by hand, embroidered on the adda frame, fitted until it sits right.
The Collections
Where to begin
Every collection is built around how the piece will actually be worn — the baraat, the sangeet, the daylight ceremony.

“
A sherwani is worn once. It is remembered for fifty years.

The Atelier
How a piece is made
Nothing here is picked off a rail. This is the order the work happens in, and roughly how long each part takes.
Consultation
We sit with you and the family, look at the venue, the time of day and the other outfits in the week — then decide what the groom should be.
90 minutesMeasurement
Measurements taken by hand, with posture and shoulder slope noted. A muslin toile is cut before any silk is touched.
Two fittingsHandwork
The panels go to the karkhana. Zardozi, dabka, marodi — worked on the adda frame by karigars the shop has worked with for years.
3 to 8 weeksFinal Fitting
Ten days before the date. Hem, cuff and closure adjusted on the body, accessories set, and the piece packed for travel.
